Abbie Cobb was born in Papillion, Nebraska. Her love of Shirley Temple movies piqued her interest in acting, so she started acting in high school. Upon moving to Los Angeles, she acquired lead roles in several stage productions, including Toxic Avenger: The Musical, Othello, Spring Awakening and LifeLine (National Tour). In 2009, Cobb played small rolls in The Missing Person & Drag Me to Hell. In 2010, she got a supporting-lead role, as AJ in the Disney Channel original film Starstruck. Her other acting credits include The Mentalist, True Blood, 2 and a Half Men, Jonas, Medium, CSI: Miami, Pair of Kings, Imagination Movers, Big Time Rush, American Horror Story and the Disney Channel original film Good Luck Charlie, It's Christmas! (2011). In 2011, Cobb landed a recurring role as Emily Bradford on The CW series 90210. She almost did not receive the role, because of her remarkable resemblance to actress Jennie Garth, who played Kelly, in the original, Beverly Hills 90210 series, in the 90's. They didn't want to confuse fans so they dyed Cobb's hair a dark color so she would look less like Kelly.
In 2011, Cobb wrote her first book entitled Stuck on a Ferris Wheel: An actor's guide to enjoying the ride while keeping your feet on the ground [Paperback], which offers play-by-play instructions for being a working actor in LA.
In 2012, Cobb landed a recurring role as Kimantha on the ABC sitcom Suburgatory, as well as a recurring role as Francine on ABC Family's show, The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Cobb also grabbed the lead in the 2012 TV movie, Teenage Bank Heist, which aired on the Lifetime Movie Network.
